Guiding growth and meaningful change

I have a track record of helping a vibrant mix of organisations and the people who lead them navigate positive, lasting change, growth, and challenges with confidence.

Using a unique blend of business acumen, real-world senior leadership experience, operational expertise, psychology, academic training, research and coaching techniques, I partner with leaders and their teams to unpack deeper dynamics at play and get under the hood of the organisation. Gaining clarity, cutting through complexity and taking decisive action to create a clear, purpose-driven path forward.

I’ve helped start-ups who’ve taken investment scale effectively, media companies develop their next generation of leaders, agency founders reconnect with each other, their mission and strategy, and organisations resolve internal conflict, realign priorities, and implement and adapt to change.

“Professional insight paired with compassion and understanding. Not only a true expert in your field, you are an absolute pleasure to work alongside. An external Bree Brown eye is extremely helpful and can only be beneficial for growth and resource to any business.”

Debbie Malynn, Founder, Thereafter

Having graduated with a Bachelor’s in Psychology, I embarked on a career in the creative industries that took me from entry-level administrator to COO.

Over the last 25 years, I’ve worked in international corporations and founder-led SME’s across media, production, publishing, design, music and events.

My experience spans companies such as VICE, Darlow Smithson Productions, Walker Books, BBC and EMI. I’ve run teams of over 100, managed budgets of £40 million+, and delivered award-winning content and projects to some of the world’s biggest brands and broadcasters.

I’ve launched news, fashion, and food platforms, built teams from the ground up, established new offices during global expansions, and worked in and for businesses pre- and post-investment. I’ve been there for downturns, too, having been on both sides of a spectrum of workplace challenges—from redundancies to leadership transitions, mergers to maternity leave.

After leaving VICE in 2018, I began contracting, working with SMEs on projects to drive commercial and operational efficiencies. This underscored my understanding that the success of a project, department or business hinged on healthy leadership team dynamics, aligned visions, and clear objectives. I served businesses by being outside the system to provide objective support when tackling complex team dynamics and business challenges.

My love of supporting leadership teams, unpicking complex relational dynamics and organisational challenges, getting right to the heart of an issue and seeing the positive impact I made prompted me to reconnect with psychology to enrich the work I was already doing.

I undertook a Master's in Organisational Psychology at City University, earning a Distinction. Writing my thesis on the ‘Experiences of Leaders in the Creative Industries Managing Creative Teams Post-pandemic’. Additionally, it rekindled my interest in coaching, the principles of which I implement throughout my work.
